Not quiet working yet. Use the other book at the bottom of this page.

High there :o)) After losing the last updates in a server crash, I have just got round to updating the site. I have added loads of pics onto the kite site, also a few new 3D pics.
Hope you like them. We had a blast in Holland this year, have a look for yourself.
Enter the Highasakite chat channel :o)

High to you all, since I got my permenant internet connection I decided to build my own web server to run on my ADSL line.
Over the last few months I´ve been playing round with Linux & have become one of the converted!! :o) Obviously other OS´s have thier place as well, but in comparision they are boring, & almost imposible to use in some situations.
So now I´m running Linux on a small desktop box, serving this web site, monitoring the line....... Now no-one can dictate how much space I have, what I´m allowed, I love it.
So it was obviously time for a bit of a change, & I thought it would be a nice idea to incorporate some of the things that I´m into, into one site. Here you´ll find loads of pictures & video clips on power kiteing / traction kiteing, also lots of my own CG Atwork from the last few years, loads of the groovy fractals that fascinate me, lots of pictures of my travels & also of my home New Zealand, & last but not least, a small documentation of the experiences with Linux, & tips & tricks for the newbie. We all have to start somewhere! Some questions & the answers may seem silly to some users, but just think back to the days when you had your first experience with windows or linux or unix..., we all know how it is.

Have fun :o)

So now there are 4 websites to play with. You have navigation menus top & bottom, left & right.
I decided to put all the things that I get a kick out of into one big site, so there's a bit of everything.

For all you folks that love getting dragged round a beach or a field, there's Highasakite on the left.

On the right there are loads of links to pretty much all the information that you'll need,
plus loads of tips & tricks for Linux newcomers.

On the top you'll find a collection of my work, Unclebob's cg pics & fractals.

Last but not least there are around 300 photos to be seen from New Zealand & my travels below.

Feel free to send me a mail..rob@highasakite.net, or use the guest book. Like to hear your comments.
